Abstract: 

This illustrated key for identifying spiders inhabiting true fir and Douglas-fir isbased on extensive collections from throughout the three North American PacificCoast States. Details of the age classes present at budburst and the season inwhich to expect adults are presented for all species. This paper is written for peo-ple unfamiliar as well as familiar with spider taxonomy; a glossary of all technicalterms is included. References to pertinent technical literature are also included.
