Abstract:

ABSTRACT—Infiltration capacity and erodibility weremeasured three to six years after portions ofjorested water-sheds in western Oregon had been logged. Overall t olue.sthe logged portions did not differ significantly from valueson tmlogged portions. Areas that had been heat dydi.s.turbed—sk trail.s. cable log paths. and places wherelash had beets windrowed by tractors and then burned—hadreduced infiltration capacity and increased .sulfate erodibil-ity but also had partially recovered to prelogging conditions.
