Andrews Forest Monthly Meeting: Friday, November 1,  9-11 AM

Presentations:

  • “Pyrogenic C production and forest structure impacts from the Lookout Fire: Preliminary data from the FBAT plots.” presented by Jacob Bukoski, Assistant Professor, FES (w/ Yuzhe Wang, Sebastian Hjelstrom, Matthew Dickinson, & Georgia Seyfried)
  • “Pyrogenic carbon enhances post-fire recovery of soil quality in the planted forests of south China.” presented by Yuzhe Wang, Associate professor, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China, and Visiting Scholar COF OSU.
  • “Taking root: digging deeper into the role of roots in mediating critical zone processes.” Presented by Xander Takver, PhD Student in Water Resource Sciences, College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences

After our presentations, at 10 AM, we will move into our community meeting, which includes updates on graduate student activities, site, WNF, DEI, education, new faces, and recent publications.
