2017 HJA Safety Day

Thursday, June 22, 2017

HJA Safety Day is a field safety refresher that teaches safety procedures at the Andrews Forest. The event covers facilities safety, communication, check-in/check-out and search activation, accident reporting, forest road driving, fire, field preparedness, and human, animal, terrain and plant dangers. Speakers will include fire, radio communication and law enforcement experts from the Willamette National Forest. We want the HJA to have another safe field season. We encourage all supervisors to direct their field employees to participate in HJA Safety Day, Thursday, June 22nd, from 1-5PM in the Andrews Forest Headquarters conference room. Eligible attendees include researchers, students, and technicians engaged in field work at the Andrews Forest. Please email Kathleen Turnley (Kathleen.Turnley@oregonstate.edu) if you and/or your crew plan to attend, so that we can estimate the number of attendees.
