Highest Temperature

110
degrees Fahrenheit, hottest temperature recorded

The highest temperature recorded at the Andrews Forest is 110.3 Fahrenheit (43.5 degrees Celsius), taken at a fan-aspirated shield at the PRIMET meteorological station on June 28, 2021.  Meteorological measurements, including temperature, rainfall, and windspeed, have been recorded at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest for decades, allowing scientists to watch for trends and make comparisons over time.
