A1  0 - 3 in.       Dark  brown (10YR3/3) when moist stony loam; 
                    strong, fine to medium granular structure; 
                    firm when moist, slightly sticky and slightly 
                    plastic when wet; 30% gravel and cobbles; 
                    clear and smooth boundary.

AC  3 - 13 in.      Dark brown (7.5YR3/4) when moist shotty stony 
                    heavy loam; strong, fine subangular blocky 
                    structure; firm when moist, sticky and 
                    slightly plastic when wet; 40% stones, 30% 
                    shot; abrupt and wavy boundary.

C  13 - 33 in.      Brown (7.5YR4/4) when moist stony loam; weak, 
                    fine to medium subangular blocky structure; 
                    very friable when moist, sticky and slightly
