                    weak, very fine granular structure; friable 
                    when moist, nonsticky and plastic when wet; 
                    no stones, discontinuous horizon; abundant 
                    fine roots; abrupt and smooth boundary.

AC  .5 - 12 in.     Matrix of reddish brown (2.5YR4/3)  and 
                    mottles of dark yellowish brown (10YR4/6) and 
                    dark gray (10YR4/1) when moist silt loam; 
                    massive structure; slightly hard when dry, 
                    friable when moist, nonsticky and plastic
