A  0 - 6 in.        Very dark grayish brown (10YR3/2) when moist 
                    fine sandy loam; weak, fine granular 
                    structure; very friable when moist, nonsticky 
                    and nonplastic when wet; abundant fine and 
                    medium, few coarse roots; clear and wavy 
                    boundary.

BIR  6 - 15 in.     Matrix of strong brown (7.5YR3/6)  and 
                    mottles of dark  brown (10YR3/3) when moist 
                    sandy loam; massive structure; firm when 
                    moist, nonsticky and nonplastic when wet;
