                    shotty loam; moderate, medium granular 
                    structure; slightly hard when dry, friable 
                    when moist, nonsticky and slightly plastic 
                    when wet; 20% shot, 1/2 in. ash; abundant 
                    fine and medium, few coarse roots; gradual 
                    and wavy boundary.
