                    discontinous (60%); abrupt and smooth 
                    boundary.

A1  0 - 9 in.       Dark reddish brown (5YR3/3) when moist shotty 
                    loam; strong, coarse granular structure; 
                    slightly hard when dry, firm when moist, 
                    nonsticky and slightly plastic when wet; 15% 
                    shot; abundant fine and medium, common coarse 
                    roots; clear and smooth boundary.

B1  9 - 19 in.      Dark reddish brown (5YR3/4) when moist light 
                    clay loam; moderate, medium subangular blocky
