A  0 - 3 in.        Very dark brown (7.5YR2/2) when moist 
                    gravelly loam; weak, fine to medium granular 
                    structure; friable and fluffy when moist, 
                    slightly sticky and slightly plastic when 
                    wet; 35% gravel and cobbles,very common 
                    pumice; abundant roots.

AC  3 - 12+ in.     Dark brown (7.5YR3/2) when moist stony loam; 
                    weak, fine to medium granular structure; 
                    friable and fluffy when moist, slightly
