                    grain structure; friable and very fluffy when 
                    moist, slightly sticky and nonplastic when 
                    wet; very low bulk density, high in ash and 
                    pumice.

2A  5 - 17 in.      Dark brown (7.5YR3/2) when moist loam; weak, 
                    medium granular structure; very friable when 
                    moist, slightly sticky and nonplastic when 
                    wet; 10% gravel, occasional pumice; abundant  
                    roots.
