                    loam; weak, fine to medium granular 
                    structure; friable when moist, slightly 
                    sticky and slightly plastic when wet; 30% 
                    andesite stones; abundant  roots.

B1  3 - 11 in.      Dark brown (7.5YR3/2) when moist stony loam; 
                    weak, fine to medium subangular blocky 
                    breaking to moderate, medium granular 
                    structure; friable when moist, slightly 
                    sticky and slightly plastic when wet; 40%
