                    and F layers).

A  0 - 8 in.        Black (10YR2/1) when moist organic loam; 
                    weak, fine granular structure; soft when dry, 
                    nonsticky and nonplastic and smeary when wet; 
                    5% gravel, very high organic matter content; 
                    abundant fine and medium  roots; clear and 
                    wavy boundary.

AC  8 - 23 in.      Very dark brown (10YR2/2) when moist gravelly 
                    loam; weak, medium granular structure; 
                    nonsticky and nonplastic and smeary when wet; 
                    15% gravel; abundant fine, medium, and coarse
