Spatial Databases

A catalog of LTER spatial datasets and other Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data. Data are distributed as zip files, that include data in NAD27 and NAD83. Some of the files will have ESRI export format (.e00) or shapefiles (ESRI format). Nad83 data will be in shapefiles or ESRI Grid format. All the data have associated metadata. EML formatted metadata will include a zipped file that includes the appropriate NAD83 files. The data have been projected to NAD83 to conform with US Forest Service requirements and to provide locations that will display accurately with on-line applications such as Google maps.
