The Andrews Forest LTER monthly meetings convene at 9AM on the first Friday of each month from October to June on the OSU Campus in Richardson Hall Room 313. The first hour is often used as a "Science Hour" discussion; the second hour is often used to discuss topics and business related to the program. Anyone is welcome to attend. Minutes from previous monthly meetings, please go to Meeting Notes.
The annual Andrews Forest Symposium was initiated as a forum to foster communication about research taking place on the Andrews Forest. It provides an opportunity for the broader OSU community to become aware of and involved in Andrews Forest research, and serves as a venue for graduate students to interact with the larger research community. The symposium features a poster session of recent research, and oral presentations synthesizing research findings.
HJA Day is an annual field gathering at the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest. Activities include field trips to sites in the Andrews Forest and presentations from researchers and managers. Everyone is welcome to attend - from OSU, the Forest Service, other institutions and organizations, and the local community. HJA Day is hosted by the Andrews Forest LTER Program.
The Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) All Scientists Meeting is held every three years and brings together scientist, students and other guests interested in long-term ecological research and the LTER program. The first LTER ASM was held in the 1980's.
